Lou Yang University Tai Chi Wushu Team US Demonstration
Invited by Li's Wushu academy, the Lou Yang University Professional Tai Chi Wushu Team will be visiting the US, and we will be hosting several demonstrations in the Bay Area.
Being the birthplace of Chinese civilization, Henan Province locates in Central China, near the Yellow River. Henan Province is well known in the world of Chinese Martial Arts as Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu were originated here. Lou Yang University sits in the center of this soil, it carries a significant historical value and treasure with it to this day. We are pleased to have their professional Tai Chi Wushu team visit the Bay Area to demonstrate the beauty and the strength of Chinese Martial Arts. They will be a part of the National Tai Chi Wellness Foundation’s (NTCWF) Grand Opening Ceremony and the first anniversary of the International Tai Chi Health Forum.
The opening ceremony of NTCWF and the celebration of International Tai Chi Health Forum first anniversary will be held on Saturday, October 18, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM (space reserved for the community leaders only). A professional Tai Chi Wushu demonstration is open to the public on Sunday, October 19, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Both of these events will take place at Li’s Wushu Academy: 10268 Bandley Dr., Suite 107, Cupertino, CA 95014.
It is the time we celebrate its first anniversary for the International Tai Chi Health Forum. We are honored to have many of the community leaders confirm to be a part of this event. We would like to thank them for the precious supports and the encouragements they are providing to this Foundation. These people are the local government officers from the city of Saratoga, Cupertino, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Fremont. They are the Mayors and the City Council Members, School Board Members, and leaders from High Tech companies, such as: Intel Corporation, UMC and Archsight. Some of the leaders are from non-profit organizations, such as: YMCA, the American Cancer Society and the Chinese Cultural Athletics Organization. There are professors and leaders from academic authorities, such as: Stanford University, SJSU, San Francisco State University, and Monterey Bay State University. We recognize the attention and the time that people from the government, the universities, the corporations and the communities have put together to learn and to appreciate more about Tai Chi Health Arts. We gather here to provide a healing method and a living style that can benefit the community.
Activities for the Anniversary Celebration of International Health Forum and Grand Opening Ceremony of NTCWF include:
• A short presentation to introduce the Foundation to the community;
• Tai Chi demonstrations by Luoyang University Tai Chi Wushu team and Li's Tai Chi Wushu team;
• Amazing stories shared by Tai Chi practitioners about the health benefits they gained through Tai Chi training;
• Information sharing about the latest collaborative research project, conducted by NTCWF and Stanford University research teams on Tai Chi as a healing art.
